About Me

Meet AUDREY

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with over 14 years of experience working with youth, adults, and families facing mental health challenges that affect daily life. I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Social Sciences with a specialization in Criminology from the University of Ottawa. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals navigating a wide range of difficulties, including justice involvement, behavioural risks, and the challenges of reintegration following major life transitions such as incarceration, changes in substance use, or significant life shifts. I also work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional regulation difficulties, and other concerns that affect overall well-being. My work is grounded in individual therapy, with each person at the centre of the work we do together. I recognize that people are impacted by their relationships, environments, and the behaviour and choices of others in their lives. These relational dynamics are often central to understanding your experiences and are an important part of our work together. I work with people across the full spectrum of change—from those who are beginning to notice that something is not working in their life, to those navigating uncertainty or ambivalence about change or important decisions, to those who are ready to take active steps forward. My approach is collaborative and respectful, and grounded in the belief that people are the experts in their own lives, with the capacity to create change and move toward the life they want. Together, we explore what is getting in the way of well-being, build on existing strengths and supports, and develop practical strategies to support meaningful change in everyday life. I am especially drawn to supporting people in building a life that feels meaningful and connected to their values—where their choices reflect what matters most to them, and where a sense of stability, direction, and purpose can grow over time. My goal is to offer a space where people feel understood without judgment, and supported in making meaningful, lasting change at their own pace.

What to expect in our work together

Our work together begins with an assessment in the first session. This focuses on understanding what is currently going on for you and developing a fuller picture of your life, including your strengths, coping skills, resources, supports, relationships, and what is important to you. This helps me get to know you and better support our work together moving forward. Early in our work, we also collaborate to identify and agree on therapeutic goals that reflect your needs and values.

Motivational Interviewing (MI)

This approach helps explore ambivalence and uncertainty without pressure or judgment. It is especially helpful when you feel “stuck” or unsure about change. It supports you in finding clarity, strengthening motivation, and reconnecting with your own values and direction.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy-informed skills (DBT)

These are practical tools that can be brought into sessions to support everyday life. They can help with managing intense emotions, staying grounded in difficult moments, building distress tolerance, and improving communication. These skills are designed to be usable in real situations, helping you feel more steady, capable, and supported when things feel overwhelming.

Trauma-Informed Care

I take a trauma-informed approach, focusing on safety, respect, and your ability to choose what feels right for you. You set the pace and direction of our sessions. We also consider how past experiences may be showing up in your life today.

Person-Centred Therapy

When the client click on learn more, it turn the box over and this is the description. Description: This approach places you at the centre of the work. It is built on empathy, acceptance, and collaboration. You are seen as the expert in your own life, and sessions move at your pace in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.

Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT)

This approach is strengths- and goal-oriented. We take time to understand what’s difficult, what feels stuck, and what has helped you cope so far. From there, we focus on small, realistic steps that feel possible and manageable.
